Tradition and Innovation - 60 years of POS experience

Exited by the idea of contributing creatively to the building up of the economy and opening up new horizons to the people that was the ambition of Paul Oberholz who founded POS 60 years ago. In1948 they started to produce locks and latches for HVAC systems in Velbert. 12 years later a second plant was added, focused on production of locks and latches for the automotive industry. We look back with pride on our long-established company history. Today our highly sophisticated world demands new products and services daily.

As a future-orientated company, POS decided to react self-confident to this task. Motivated and excellently qualified co-workers are just like the employment of modern technology that is the basis for permanent success. In the community of the EMKA group of companies, low hierarchies and quick decisions form the flexibility that new tasks need. Many years of experience regarding different manufacturing technologies and orientation on quality have cleared the way for a steady and trusted co-operation with our customers.

As a supplier to the automotive industry, recreational vehicles and truck industry as well as to the refrigerated vehicle and caravan industry, POS produces closing systems and latches. Moreover, the production range also covers customer specific parts.

System solutions, developed in the house at POS, fulfil the requirements in the product fields mentioned on highest level. Precise engineering allowing high security and reliability of closing systems and latches.

Technology is a strong point in all aspects of the EMKA group. As an internationally-active company group EMKA has in place all of the essential resources and equipment required. At various locations, special machines make most modern manufacturing and finishing processes possible. A considerable tool and die production as well as the in-house aluminium production (die casting and forged parts) complete the manufacturing depth.

The technology centre of the EMKA group with test laboratories and large test facilities supports the development of the products during all design and manufacturing segments. With the technical know how of the POS designing engineers there are suitable solutions for every problem. The employment of CAD-technology is just as natural as co-operation with designers, who optimize the visual condition of the products. Because high-quality products captivate the eye, just like their functionality, quality and longevity.

For the enterprises of the EMKA group economical handling of raw materials as well as the recycling ability of the assigned materials are applied.
